Good morning! Or whatever time of day it is with you as you are reading this. This is day two of #OneWeek the seasonal meme over at lovely Older Mum in a Muddle. A blaggle of bloggers (is that the correct collective noun?) is blogging on the theme of winter and there have been some really fabulous posts so far.

During winter people’s minds can’t help but drift off into dreams of summer. Bibsey and I are no exception, and on sunny days, with the right song on in the car, we can imagine that it is summer as we bomb up and down the mountain. It’s funny isn’t it, how, when the sun is out, you can’t seem to imagine that it might rain later that day. And conversely, when you are freezing in the winter, it is sometimes hard to believe that you will ever be warm again.

Essentially what we do here at Bibsey Towers is to try to make winter as much like summer as we possibly can. This includes picnics on the terrace and the sounds of summer in on the car stereo.

Here is our song for winter. I hope it gives you a little bit of winter warmth. And if a little bit of soul is up your calle then I defy you to listen to this and not to smile and think of summer.
